Description

On March 25 at "Royal" Sofia Hotel Balkan H.E. On 25 March Greece marks the anniversary of the uprising in 1821, when the Metropolitan of Patras - Germanos, raised the Greek flag and began a national liberation war against the Ottoman rule, which lasted 400 years. The struggle of the Greek people continued to 1829, when the liberation of the country was achieved and the independent Greek state was pronounced. In the Orthodox calendar this day is known as Annunciation - the day on which Archangel Gabriel appeared to Virgin Mary with the good news that she will be the mother of the son of God.
