The new album of the pop singer Hristo Paskalev – Pascal "Eurosongs" was released.
The project of Spectrum 21st Century Association is dedicated to the first Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (January-June 2018). Its motto is: "Living in Europe and singing its favourite songs together" and it includes the musical album "Eurosongs" and concerts in the country and abroad. Diplomatic Spectrum is a media partner of the initiative.
The idea behind the project is to bring the peoples of the EU closer together through the language of music, or more precisely through the language of the favourite songs. It aims at reaching the widest possible audience. The older audience will recall, and the younger will get acquainted with some of the most famous, emblematic songs created in the EU member states.
The album "Eurosongs" is now ready. It contains 15 songs: one from each of the countries Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Sweden. The selection of most of them was done with the help of the embassies or their cultural institutes in Bulgaria.
The performer of the songs is Hristo Paskalev-Pascal. He has a rich repertoire of over 250 songs in 20 languages. The best of them has been gathered in 11 albums, 7 CDs and 4 MCs. He has performed in dozens of countries around the world and has won many prestigious awards, among which is the awarded in 2005 special badge of merit in strengthening friendship among peoples by the UN, the European Prize Committee.
The creation of the album "Eurosongs" is accompanied by a series of concerts all over the country. They show that the interest in this initiative is great.
On the occasion of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in preparation are concerts "Eurosongs" in different cities.
