On November 25 in Bulgaria Concert Hall, a spiritual concert marking 1100 years of the Assumption of St. Kliment Ohridski, the Miracle Worker took place.
The event is included in the cultural calendar of UNESCO for 2016. Its organizers were the Holly Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church – the Bulgarian Patriarchate, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski with the blessing of His Holiness Neophyte, Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia.
And something unique happened – on the stage the symbols of the Bulgarian choral singing - the Mixed Choir St. Alexander Nevski, The Sofia Priests Choir, the Chamber Ensemble St. John Koukouzeles - the Angel-Voiced, the Mixed Choir of the BNR and the National Philharmonic Choir Svetoslav Obretenov, got united. Unforgettable performances!
St. Kliment Ohridski, the first Bulgarian teacher, the organizer of the Bulgarian educational activity, the one that used to preach in Bulgarian language, the first bishop of Bulgaria, united us today.
Let us remember his gracious providence to the Bulgarian language and nation, in order to have Bulgaria, the way it is today!
Today, united by its life-giving light, filled with our Orthodox faith and values let us not forget his words, "Believe in God and serve selflessly to your people".
