It took place from the 17th to the 24th of June in the institute’s halls. The first of a series of events was the opening of the exhibition

„Face to face with the traditional Chinese painting“. Its author - Zhao Min, presented various types of Chinese painting: Shan-Shui, Gunbi paintings and ink. The works impressed strongly with the beauty and harmony they eradiate, with the stunning mastery woven into them.

The exhibition „China through the eyes of a Bulgarian“ which opened on the 10th of June in the Institute’s hall, contains a selection of the presented at the institute original photographs, taken by Bulgarians in China. The lens of our compatriots caught unique moments outlived in Beijing or the province - moments of modern China.

From 20th to 24th of June in the multi-purpose hall of the Confucius Institute, open lectures for China were held. They were undoubtedly interesting and on enriching the human knowledge topics: „Towards the unknown - Chinese avant-garde literature in the 80s“ by Stefan Rusinov, lecturer in Chinese literature at the University of Plovdiv; „Understanding the proto-Taoist cosmological essay „Grand Unity Breeds Water“ Husk bamboo boards from the tomb in Guodien (IV century BC)“ by Teodora Kutsarova, a professor at Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski“; „Contemporary socio-economic development of China –an overview“ by prof. Nako Stefanov; „The Chinese language - typological characteristics and trends“ by Dr. Antonia Tsankova, professor of modern and ancient Chinese language, Chinese grammar and translation at Sofia University „St. KlimentOhridski“ and „Chinese comic - touches of a long history“ by Assoc. Prof. Andronika Martonova, a specialist in Asian cinema and visual culture of Asia.
