Every year in November, Thessaloniki becomes the center of film. The town tours the latest film productions, the most popular filmmakers and actors and the best films from all around the world. The reason is the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
From the 21st to the 25th of October the beautiful Budapest became a music capital. There was held the 21st edition of WOMEX - the largest international professional exhibition of ethnic and folk music. 90 countries were presented, with 1,250 companies and 2,500 delegates.
An Orthodox spiritual centre since 1054, Mount Athos has enjoyed an autonomous statute since Byzantine times. The 'Holy Mountain', which is forbidden to women and children, is also a recognized artistic site.
Mediacongress of journalists and The State Hermitage Museum presented the IX International Media-Forum of young journalists of Europe and Asia «Dialogue of Cultures». It was conducted on 18-20 November 2014 in the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.
