On the 19^th of April, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela invited its fellow compatriots and friends of the country to offer wreaths and flowers to the bust-monument of the Liberator Simon Bolivar at the Vazrazhdane Square in Sofia.

"The 19^th of April 1810, marked the beginning of the fight for independence from the Spanish conquerors in Venezuela. Today we have gathered here to celebrate the 208^th anniversary of this important date for our Motherland"- those were the words of the greeting speech made by H. E. Ms. Orietta Caponi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Bulgaria. "We, the Venezuelans, continue to fight for our independence against the unconventional war that the imperial forces are leading against our country... "
