The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bulgaria in cooperation with the Center for Study of Democracy organized a Korea-Bulgaria Energy Forum, "Strengthening Cooperation in the Energy Sector between Korea and Bulgaria".
The event took place on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Capital Fort Business Center, New York City Hall. At the opening the Minister of Energy Temenujka Petkova stressed the great potential that exists for deepening the cooperation in the energy field between Bulgaria and Korea.
The aim of the forum was to outline opportunities for further developing the cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector. Among the discussed topics was the energy sector in Bulgaria: current state and future developments, energy transition: the role of renewable and other energy sectors in Korea, as well as cooperation in the energy sectors between Korea and Bulgaria. Among the invited from the Republic of Korea were representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Korea Energy Economics Institute, Seoul National University, Korea South-East Power Co. From the Bulgarian energy sector there were representatives of the Center for Study of Democracy, World Wildlife Fund, Green Energy Association, etc.
