H. E. Mrs. Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco in Bulgaria, gathered on March, 25^th, 2017 Moroccans and Bulgarians on a friendly lunch, on the occasion of the beginning of spring and the Feast of happiness.

It is known and celebrated all over the world in March. Among her guests were representatives of the Moroccan community in Bulgaria, Bulgarian journalists, artists and academics related to Moroccan culture, members of the Bulgarian-Moroccan association.

During her welcome speech, the Ambassador praised the quality of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Bulgaria. She also highlighted Morocco as a model of plurality, dialogue and openness to other civilizations. She also stressed its cultural diversity, in which stability, tolerance, respect and love for others reign…

Her Excellency said that Morocco is a constitutional monarchy, where multiple civilizations have mixed, and which believes in the unity of human destiny, in the diversity of religions, cultures and civilizations. She then gave a general overview of the progress made by the Kingdom of Morocco in various socio-economic fields. She said that the Moroccan development model places human and sustainable development, inclusive and participatory, at the heart of its priorities; giving so, priority, to the respect for human rights, the free trade and fair competition, the development of renewable energies, the ecotourism, the green economy, the small-scale fishing, etc.

She referred to the rich culinary art and architecture inherited from the different dynasties which have made the history of Morocco and which are some of the attractions of the Kingdom and part of the extraordinary life in the medinas in the various Imperial cities of the Kingdom and the handicrafts produced there.

She spoke about other assets of Morocco, such as the political stability, the warm and hospitable population, the good quality airport facilities and road infrastructure, the wide range of hotels in every category, and the great variety of handcraft products etc. …
