On 30 November at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences there was an academic lecture of Assoc. Prof. Kiril Kartalov. Its topic "Transformations of the Politics: from the Twentieth Century to the Global Era" attracted great interest among academics and students, and filled the Great Hall of BAS.
Assoc. Prof. Kiril Kartalov is a corresponding member of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences and advisor to the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Graduated International politics from Milan's Catholic University in 2008, in 2015 he obtained the educational and scientific degree "Doctor of Philosophy" at the same university. He is an associate professor in philosophy at the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge at BAS. Lecturer in papal diplomacy at the Diplomatic Institute at the Foreign Ministry.
Philosopher and writer, he is the author of the books: "Paradigms of Political Science," "Papal diplomacy. The Holy See in the international relations during the pontificate of John Paul II", "Archbishop Roncalli and his apostolic mission in Bulgaria. From the pages of the papal diplomacy of the XX century, stored in the Vatican secret archives". This summer, with huge interest from ambassadors and journalists, was presented his book, written in Italian, "Bulgaria and the Holy See. 25 years of diplomatic relations (1990-2015)."
The academic lecture of Assoc. Prof. Kiril Kartalov at BAS was marked by extreme depth of the analysis, interesting relationships between different fields of knowledge on the subject, analogies, supported by specific facts from reality.
