On the 8th May, at the Salon for contemporary art "San Stefano", the exhibition "Impressions from Argentina" was officially launched by H. E. Mr. Alberto Alfredo Manuel Trueba , Ambassador of Argentina in Bulgaria.
The project is conceived and organized thanks to the joint efforts of the Embassy of Argentina in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, the Association of Bulgarians in Argentina, Radio "My Bulgaria" and AMATERAS Foundation.
The exhibition is part of Sofia Paper Art Fest 2019.This year a main focus of the festival is the establishment of long-term exchange with countries, where there is a large Bulgarian diaspora, and the presentation of the cultures of those countries. Argentina is a unique country, with an attractive emblematic traditions. In the field of art, artists have always been tempted by other cultures and have not remained impartial to global processes. The selection of artists working in Argentina is the first step in this process of exchange of exhibitions in the two countries. The partnering organisations are actively working on this exchange and the event in Sofia will be followed by a Bulgarian exhibition and discussion in Argentina in June 2019. The events will be documented and reflected on Radio "My Bulgaria", the most listened to Bulgarian media in Latin America.
The avant-garde space, Space for contemporary art "San Stefano", where the exhibition "Impressions from Argentina" is placed is in unison with the messages and the visual language of the artworks of the Argentinian artists. The power and the laconic language of black and white are dominating in this selection.
