From the 30th of November to the 13th of December 2015 for the second time the Days of Morocco in Bulgaria were held.
They were organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the country with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Morocco, the National Office of Tourism of Morocco, the Museum of Judaism in Morocco, the Moroccan cinematographic centre in partnership with the honorary consul of Morocco in Plovdiv, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Bulgarian Construction Chamber and others. The program of the Days included events in both Sofia and Plovdiv.
The opening ceremony was with the concert "The Soul of Morocco" at the Military Club in Sofia. The famous Moroccan singer Oum wowed the audience with her performances of ethno jazz and soul. In Sofia, the program continued with the presentation of the first tourist brochures for Morocco as a destination in Bulgarian language and the meeting of tour operators and specialists in the sector. The following days were devoted to the cultural diversity and the Jews in Morocco, presented by: the photographic exhibition "Jews among the Berbers" in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the screening of the film "Aida" directed by Driss Mrini which tells the story of a Moroccan Jew and a dinner entitled "Jewish Moroccan cuisine."
In Plovdiv, the program run under the motto "Morocco of Maritsa". It included a screening of the most award-winning Moroccan film in 2015 - "The Orchestra of the Blind" by the director Mohammed Muhtakar; a meeting in the Honorary Consulate of Morocco in Plovdiv with the tour operators presenting the brochure "Morocco", days of Moroccan gastronomy and the photographic exhibition "Journey to Morocco in seven steps".
