On July 20, H. E. Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Emara, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Bulgaria,
hosted a reception at his residence in celebration of his country's national holiday.
It is celebrated on July 23 - the Day of the Revolution. On this day 71 years ago on, the July Revolution led by Gamal Abdel Nasser erupted, marking the beginning of the path towards the establishment of the republic.
In his welcoming remarks to the guests, H. E. Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Emara emphasized the historical significance of the event and the achievements of the Egyptian people that followed. He also highlighted the longstanding bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Egypt. He wished success to the new Bulgarian government and expressed hope that our cooperation in all areas would deepen.
The reception was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, politicians, representatives of the highest state administration, journalists, and friends of Egypt. They all had the pleasure of enjoying the wonderful harp performances by our well-known instrumentalist Rayna Zlateva and the delicious specialties of Egyptian cuisine.
