On the occasion of the national holiday of the country - May 3, His Excellency Mr. Krzysztof Krajewski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in Bulgaria and his wife gave a reception.
On May 11, the Embassy hospitably opened its doors to welcome numerous guests, ambassadors, diplomats, cultural workers, journalists, representatives of the Polish diaspora. Festive mood was created with the help of the Polish Zygi Jazz Band.
This year 225 years since the creation of the first modern written constitution in Europe and the second in the world after that of America are marked. Adopted on 3 May 1791, it proclaims the country a constitutional monarchy with a parliament that has a two-year term. Constitution Day was a national holiday of Poland from 1918 to 1939, in the years after it was celebrated informally. In 1990 it was declared a national holiday again, as for the Poles this is one of the most significant events in their history.
