On June 4, 2024 at the "Bratiya Miladinovovi" Primary School - town of Bourgas, a mobility under the National Programme "Innovation in Action" of the Ministry of Education and Science took place.

Different lessons were presented, one of them was on Geographers Detectives in Africa /binary lesson - geography and mathematics; combined - activities, new knowledge, generalization/. The team that prepared the lesson is composed of Nikoleta Despova, Branimira Kirilova, Rositsa Ilieva and Ganka Zhelyazkova.

A special video address congratulating the initiative to the director of the "Bratiya Miladinov" Primary School, to the teachers and students and to the guests of the lesson was made by H. E. Mrs. Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Bulgaria.

The geography detectives solved mysteries and revealed secrets from the world of geography and mathematics. Through the known they reach the unknown - applying mathematical approaches and using a variety of sources of geographical information. They are confronted with the consequences of unreasonable human activity, global warming, which has led to the drying up of Lake Chad. They learn about natural diversity but also appreciate the role of man in different aspects, such as in the Green Africa project.

During the lesson, students performed various tasks such as: identifying a geographical location using given geographical coordinates and calculating time using a formula; exploration by orientating on a map and by solving mathematical expressions; reaching new knowledge through different methods - working with QR code, extracting information from video and solving mathematical expressions; learning through activities - playing with a selection of images and natural materials and products.

At the end of the activities they came to the following conclusion: There are no impossible things! Everything is possible! All that is left is to ask for it!
