On October 16, H. E. Mr. Miguel Alonso Berrio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Bulgaria, and his wife, Mrs. Monika Kapráliková,

hosted a reception at their residence in honor of Spain's National Day. The event was attended by numerous guests, including officials, ambassadors, representatives of Bulgarian institutions, the business community, media, Spanish nationals living in Bulgaria, and friends of the Spanish language and culture.

This marked the first reception organized by H. E. Mr. Miguel Alonso Berrio in Bulgaria, as he recently presented his credentials to President Rumen Radev on May 20, 2024.

Guests listened with great interest to his welcoming speech, in which he expressed his desire to continue fostering the strong and friendly ties between the two countries. He also took the opportunity to thank the Bulgarian authorities, the event sponsors, and friends of Spain for their presence and support.

Following the speech, lively conversations ensued, and many guests who met the ambassador for the first time wished him a successful term. All attendees were delighted to savor traditional Spanish delicacies and enjoy exquisite Spanish wines.
