On the 19th of October at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" there was an information meeting related to the selection of candidates for the International Scholarship Program (Internationales Parlaments-Stipendium IPS) of the German Parliament for 2018.

The program is under the auspices of the President of the Bundestag, Prof. Dr. Norbert Lamert, and is co-organized with three Berlin universities. The German delegation, that arriven in the country on this occasion, was led by MP Gero Storjohann.

The meeting at the university was attended by German-speaking young people interested in training and qualification in Germany. The International Scholarship Program of the German Parliament for 2018 will select a total of 120 scholars from 42 countries. They will have the opportunity to get acquainted with Germany's parliamentary system, political peculiarities and the democratic decision-making process in the Federal Republic. Each of the scholars will work in the office of a MP in the Bundestag for three months and will be able to attend lectures at the Berlin universities. All travel costs, accommodation and necessary insurance, as well as, the monthly scholarship, are covered by the German Parliament.
