On November 23rd, the Union of Bulgarian Journalists held a historical-literary session in memory of Georgi Sheytanov /1896-1925/.
Organized by the Union of Bulgarian Journalists / UBJ / it was held on 20 and 21 September in the town of Varna under the motto: “The economic crisis is over but the crisis in media - not! Why? ".
On September the 17th , at the "Royal" Sofia Hotel Balkan was held the international conference on the "Cultural heritage for economic and social development in Bulgaria".
On the 16th September experts, academics, government officials and journalists gathered in Serdika Hall of Sofia Hotel Balkan for the conference “Fighting the looting of Syria's cultural heritage”.
On 7 and 8 September in Sofia was held the annual General Conference of Confucius Institutes in Europe. For the first time the host of that event was Sofia University. The conference was attended by nearly 100 delegates from 22 countries, 10 delegates from five major Chinese universities and 16 delegates from the headquarters in Beijing.
An International Conference dedicated on the Balkan countries and their role in the modern world and the geopolitical system was held on 18 and 19 June in Serbia.
